Bell e-Learning Centre

Front of Bell

July 2008

The Bell e-Learning Centre provides opportunities for distance learning beyond the physical campus, through connection to Community Engagement Sites. The centre will improve rural access to broadband technologies such as video conferencing and webcasts, through the SuperNet, and offer a centre for leadership growth by creating opportunities for professional development of staff, industry/business, and government.

Within the facility, high end technology and multimedia labs serve the learning needs of high school and college learners. The Bell e-Learning Centre includes the Olds College Student Association offices and gathering spaces. Also in the facility are the Community Business Development Centre, Media Studies Department, International Centre, and a computer commons area with wireless access. This facility opened in the spring of 2008.
