Health & Wellness - a Holistic Approach

A holistic approach to physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth is the focus of the Health and Wellness Facility. Outside of the traditional gymnasiums, fitness centre, and multipurpose areas, the facility is built to house Central Alberta Child and Family Services, Alberta Employment and Immigration, an Integrated Career Centre, counseling and health services. This facility will open in the late Fall, 2009.

The Vision

- Provide opportunities to develop leadership skills, athletic skills and health attitudes
- Instill commitment to physical activity and a healthy lifestyle
- Develop innovative programs: Coaching Centre of Excellence, Leadership Centre, Active Living and Lifestyle and Wellness programs
- Provide opportunities to access sports activities
- Develop linkages to existing community sports teams and organizations
- Support seniors' health and wellness programs
Olds College has added a Director, Health & Wellness Services to the Olds College staff who will develop programs for physical fitness, athletics and sports.
