Community

Three initiatives have been undertaken in our commitment to reach out to community learners:

  1. A survey of community programming needs was conducted in October and November. The final report of the results of this survey will be available in the next couple of months. As response was limited, further community needs assessments will be necessary.
  2. The development of the CLC Health and Wellness Model includes four pillars:
    • Academic
    • Research
    • Athletics
    • Healthy Aging
Discussions are underway with a university, service providers and experts in the field of health and wellness to develop programming to benefit rural learners.
  3. The development of the Community Engagement Site concept results from efforts to address the vision of providing success for all learners in their community.
